Dr. Mahmoud Alasaal

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Mahmoud Alasaal is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Shaykhi Academy. A top-ranking graduate of the Alexandria Institute of Qirāʾāt at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, he holds multiple Qur’anic Ijāzāt, including the complete Ten Qirāʾāt. With more than 13 years of teaching experience, he specializes in Tajwīd, Qirāʾāt, Ijāzah, Qur’an memorization, and teaching both Arabic and non-Arabic speakers.

Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany​

Managing Director

Mr. Luqman El-Kasabany is the Managing Director of Shaykhi Academy, a graduate of Al-Azhar University, and a native Arabic speaker from Egypt. A Hafiz of the Qur'an with multiple Ijazat in different Qira'at, he has extensive experience teaching Qur'an, Tajweed, Arabic, and Islamic studies online to non-native speakers. He is the author of Al-Menhaj, the academy's official curriculum, and serves as its Supervisor and Education Manager. He also pursues professional development in child development, project management, and digital marketing.

Mr. Ahmed Ramadan

Senior Qur’an Teacher

Mr. Ahmed Ramadan is a senior Qur’an teacher and professional translator with three years of experience teaching Arabic and Islamic Studies to non-native speakers and translating Islamic and legal texts. A graduate of Al-Azhar University with honors in Islamic Studies in English, he memorized the Qur’an at age eleven, holds multiple ijazāt in Qur’anic recitations, and has served as an imam for five years.

Mr. Ahmed Saber

Egyptian Qur’an teacher

Shaykh Ahmed Hassan Saber is an Egyptian native Arabic-speaking Qur’an teacher, Hafiz, and Al-Azhar graduate. He holds Ijazat in the Asem Qira’at for Qur’an recitation and teaching and has extensive experience teaching Tajweed and Arabic reading to non-native speakers.

Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid

Al-Azhar–educated Islamic studies teacher

Mr. Mahmoud Elsaid is an Al-Azhar graduate, native Arabic speaker, and Islamic studies teacher with over two years of teaching experience. He memorized the Qur’an at a young age, is pursuing his Ijazah, and holds both General and Professional Diplomas in Education. He teaches the Qur’an, Tafsir, Aqeedah, Hadith, and other Islamic sciences to children and adults using engaging, student-focused methods.

Mr. Abdullah Moftah

Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher

Mr. Abdullah Moftah is an Al-Azhar–educated Qur’an teacher, native Egyptian Arabic speaker, imam, and preacher with certification in the recitation of ‘Asim Barawiyyah.

Mr. Nour Elden

Qur’an teacher

Mr. Nour Elden is a Qur’an teacher from Egypt and a student at Al-Azhar University. He memorized the Qur’an at age 13 and holds multiple Ijazahs in Qur’anic recitation, Tajweed, and Hadith. Since 2021, he has taught both Arabic-speaking and non-Arabic-speaking students in Arabic and English. He is recognized for simplifying Islamic concepts and creating engaging lessons for children through educational games.

Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly

Egyptian native Arabic speaker teacher

Mr. Saif Al-Metwaly is an Egyptian native Arabic speaker, fluent in English and French, and a medical student. He teaches Qur’an recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to non-Arabic speakers of all ages using clear teaching methods, and has experience working with various institutions.

Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman

Senior Qur’an Teacher

Mrs. Asmaa Abdul Rahman is a Senior Qur’an Teacher with over 10 years of experience in teaching the Qur’an, Tajweed, basic Arabic, conversational Arabic, and foundational Islamic studies. A graduate of Al-Azhar University, she teaches children from age five and women of all ages. She is known for simplifying Tajweed, supporting effective memorization, and creating an engaging learning environment. She holds an Ijazah in Hafs ‘an ‘Asim.

Ms. Alaa Elbakry

Qur’an teacher

Ms. Alaa Elbakry is a native Arabic-speaking Qur’an teacher and Alexandria University graduate with training in Tajweed and certified Qur’an memorization. She has experience teaching the Qur’an online, has contributed to charitable organizations, and is also a published author of two books.

Ms. Kholoud Hamada

Qur’an and Arabic teacher from Egypt

Ms. Kholoud Hamada is a native Egyptian Arabic speaker, Qur’an memorizer, and experienced Qur’an and Arabic teacher with over three years of teaching experience. Fluent in Arabic and English, she specializes in teaching students of all ages using an engaging and personalized approach. She has extensive knowledge of Tajweed, holds an Ijazah in Tohfa Al-Atfal, and is currently pursuing an Ijazah in the recitation of ‘Asim.

Ms. Asmaa Gohar

Arabic and Qur’an tutor

Asmaa Gohar is a certified Arabic and Qur’an tutor from Egypt with over six years of experience teaching non-native speakers. A graduate of Al-Azhar University, she teaches Modern Standard Arabic, Egyptian Arabic, Qur’an with Tajweed, and Islamic studies using interactive, student-centered methods tailored to learners of all levels.
